PLACES TO VISIT/ THINGS TO DO
Of course, you can visit the center of Madrid whenever you want, since there are plenty of ways to get there (Renfe, Metro...). But just in case you want to spend your free time in Getafe, here you have some suggestions:
- Cerro de los Ángeles: this is a very well known hill located in Getafe, south of Madrid. It is famous for being considered the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula. On top of the hill, you will find beautiful monuments from different periods in history.
- Parque de la Alhóndiga
- Catedral Santa María Magdalena
- Hospitalillo de San José:
- If you want to visit Leganés, you can get there with a bike (you can rent one in Getafe); both UC3M campus are connected (check this information)
