Sexual Diversity and Gender Identity

After the enactment of Law 2/2016, March 29, on Gender Identity and Expression and Social Equality and Non-discrimination for the Autonomous Region of Madrid, the University has implemented a process to request a name change for those individuals who seek application of said law. (More info here).

The process to request this name modification is the following:

  • Complete this form (click here to access it)
  • Deliver the signed form in person ( Office 11.0.19  ), or send a scanned version to the following email: unidad.igualdad@uc3m.es
  • You will receive a notification through email when the resolution to your petition is available and signed by the Dean.

Note: your name will be modified on things such as your student ID card, the list of class, the Aula Global platform... but not on official documents (on those your legal name would appear).
